High speed photography vs long exposure photography - howard

High speed photography
High speed photography can allow you to photograph something in movement and action as a still. This technique used for photographing fast moving objects that are not visible to the naked eye. Here is an examples of high speed photography I have done below:

F/13 Exposure time 1/1000 ISO 3200

long exposure photography
long exposure photography allows for you to create long exposure and trailing lights and images. This can be handy for light trails or to show rushing or fast movement to an image. Here is an example of long exposure photography I have done below:

F/16 Exposure time 1/3 ISO 1600

These car images may look like high speed photography however they are in fact time lapse photographs. Using a long shutter speed i focused on the cars going past being sure to follow the car with the camera as it goes. this keeps the focus on the car but allows for the long shutter to appear on the non-focused area.

F/5.6 exposure time: 1/30 ISO 100
